This Privacy Policy describes how Human Interaction, Inc., 7272 Wisconsin Ave, 9th Floor, Bethesda, MD 20814, United States (“Human Interaction”, “KEEPY”, “We”, “Us”, or the “Company”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information in connection with your use of mykeepy.com (the “Website”), related services, and the Company’s social media pages (collectively, the “Services”).

This Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

 

1. SCOPE

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • visitors to the Website;
  • users who create an account and use the Services;
  • customers who purchase products through our online store; and
  • individuals whose information is included in content that users choose to record or display through the Services.

Account and Profile Information

  • name (optional depending on your settings);

  • login credentials (or tokens for third-party login); and
  • profile photo (if provided).

Tag Information (User-Entered)

The Services allow you to record and manage information associated with KEEPY identification tags, which are physical products containing a unique QR code and identification number (the “Product”). This information may include contact details, notes, descriptions, emergency-related details, or any other information you choose to associate with a Product (the “Tag Information”).

For purposes of the Terms of Service, Tag Information is considered “User Content.”

Customer Support and Communications

If you contact us, we may collect your name, email address, message content, and any attachments you send.

Marketing Preferences

Your preferences regarding receiving marketing communications (for example, subscription status or opt-out choices).

 

2.2 Optional Emergency or Sensitive Information

Users may voluntarily choose to record limited emergency-related information (for example, allergies or medical notes) to be displayed when a tag is scanned, depending on the user’s configuration.

Important notes:

  • The Company is not a healthcare provider.
  • This information is user-provided and user-controlled.
  • You may edit or remove this information at any time through your account.

 

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Services, we may collect certain information automatically, such as:

  • IP address;
  • device type, browser type, operating system;
  • pages viewed, referring/exit pages, and interactions with the Website; and
  • timestamps and approximate location derived from IP address.

 

2.4 Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • strictly necessary purposes (to operate the Services);
  • analytics (to understand usage and improve the Services); and
  • advertising (as described below, if enabled).

Google Sign-In

If you register or sign in using Google, we may receive basic account information (such as name, email address, and profile image) and a unique identifier or token. We do not receive your Google password.

Shopify (E-commerce and Payments)

Purchases are processed through Shopify and its payment providers. We receive order-related information (such as purchased items, shipping details, and transaction status). We do not store full payment card details.

Email and Account Infrastructure

We use:

  • AWS Cognito to manage user authentication and account access;
  • Amazon SES to send transactional emails (for example, registration confirmation, password reset, and account notices).

Social Media Platforms

Our social media pages are hosted by third-party platforms. Your interactions with those platforms are also governed by their own privacy policies, and we may receive aggregated or limited information from them.

 

3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use information to:

  • provide, operate, and maintain the Services;
  • create, authenticate, and manage accounts;
  • enable linking and management of Products and associated information;
  • process purchases and fulfill orders through our store;
  • send transactional communications (for example, security notices or registration emails);
  • send marketing communications (where permitted and subject to your preferences);
  • analyze usage and improve the Services;
  • protect the security and integrity of the Services, prevent fraud, and enforce our policies; and
  • comply with legal obligations.

 

4. HOW TAG INFORMATION MAY BE VIEWED

Information associated with a Product may be visible to third parties only when and to the extent a user chooses to make it visible through the Services (for example, when a tag is scanned or its identifier is entered).

Once information is displayed to a third party, the Company does not control how that third party may use it. You are responsible for choosing what information to record and make visible.

 

5. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We do not sell personal information.

 

5.1 Vendors and Service Providers

We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Services, including:

  • DigitalOcean (hosting of database, backend, and frontend services);
  • AWS Cognito (authentication);
  • Amazon SES (transactional email delivery);
  • Google (authentication and analytics);
  • Shopify (e-commerce platform and payments).

Service providers may process information only as necessary to perform services for us and in accordance with applicable contractual restrictions.

 

5.2 Advertising and Marketing Partners (Now or in the Future)

We may use advertising technologies and partners (for example, Meta Pixel, Google Ads tags, TikTok Pixel, or similar tools) to:

  • measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns;
  • create audiences for advertising; and
  • deliver more relevant ads.

These technologies may collect or receive information about your device and activity on the Website (including via cookies or similar technologies) and may combine it with information from other sources in accordance with their own policies.
